miso butter beans — did not expect this
Made this last night basically by accident. Had a tin of butter beans and a tub of miso that's been sitting in the fridge for ages and just... went for it.
Fried some garlic in olive oil, tipped in the beans, added a big spoon of white miso and a splash of water and just let it go for like 10 minutes until it got all glossy and thick. That's it.
Served it on toast with a fried egg on top and honestly I was not prepared. The miso goes proper savoury and the beans get this almost creamy texture. Ains had two portions which is the real review here.
Think I'll try it with butter next time to make it even more ridiculous.
