snacks I actually keep making

Right so I've been in a bit of a deadline spiral this week — client revisions, back-to-back calls, the usual — and I realised I've basically been living off a rotation of three snacks that are dead easy and actually keep me going between meals. Not glamorous but they work. First one: spiced roasted chickpeas. Tin of chickpeas, pat them dry, toss with olive oil, cumin, smoked paprika, a bit of haldi, roast at 200°C for about 25-30 mins. They go properly crunchy and I just keep a jar on the counter. Chai tries to beg for them every single time, she's not getting any. Second one is peanut butter and apple which sounds boring but if you add a tiny pinch of chilli flakes to the peanut butter it becomes something else entirely, I promise. And then the third is just a little protein ball situation — oats, peanut butter, a scoop of vegan whey (the vanilla one), maple syrup, roll into balls, fridge for 20 mins. That's it. They're not pretty but they do the job and they keep me full for ages which honestly matters when I'm deep in Figma and forget to eat properly. The chickpeas are probably my favourite of the three tbh. Scratches that crispy salty craving without me reaching for crisps at 4pm.

chickpeas before a run never ends well for me personally, I stick to half a banana and that's about it

half a banana before a run is honestly underrated, do you have it plain or with anything?

roasted chickpeas are solid post-run actually, way better than I expected the first time
