summer skin is actually harder than I thought

Right so I take back everything I said last week. Summer skin being 'low maintenance' — yeah that lasted about ten days and then my face had opinions. Basically the SPF I've been using since March is suddenly breaking me out. Same SPF, same everything, but my skin is just... not having it. I think it's the heat making me sweat more and then the product sitting differently? Honestly I have no idea, I'm not a dermatologist, but it's happening and it's annoying. So I've had to strip everything back — just a light wash, the collagen powder in my morning drink (non-negotiable at this point, my skin genuinely feels different without it), and I'm trialling a lighter SPF. The hydration thing is real though. I used to think moisturiser in summer felt too heavy but I skipped it for about a week and my skin looked tired even though I was sleeping fine. So now I do a very thin layer and that seems to be the balance. Mind you I'm still figuring it out tbh.

every summer without fail la, think the heat just changes how everything sits on your skin

sweating more definitely changes how SPF sits, I notice it most on windy days when my skin dries weird on top but is still sweaty underneath
